Meet Our Team
Doug Melton
Owner & Industry Veteran
āThe Shirtfatherā (Almost 50 years in business and still setting the barābecause legends donāt retire.)
Welcome to the family! Iām Doug Melton, and Iāve been swinging for the fences since before half our team was born...
āthough my entrepreneurial career goes back almost five decades. Thatās right: Iāve been building businesses since disco was king and polyester was socially acceptable. I started this company because I saw a serious gapāno one was putting real care into customer service or detail. So I rolled up my sleeves and made it my mission to change that. Today, weāre still growing strong because we stick to the basics: quality work, honest talk, and delivering what we promise (and then some). Iām not here to sugarcoat things. I wonāt sell you smoke and mirrorsābut I will make sure your prints are top-tier and your deadlines are met. Staying current with the latest fabrics, styles, and techniques keeps things exciting and ensures weāre always hitting home runs for our clients. Speaking of home runs⦠baseball is my other love. Thereās just something about the gameātiming, precision, teamworkāthat reminds me of running a shop. So if you want to talk print placement and batting averages, Iām your guy. Why do our customers stick with us? Simple: We deliver. We pride ourselves on our great service, fair prices, and a team that actually cares. Around here, we treat each other like familyāsometimes loud, always loyal, and built to last. If youāve got feedback, ideas, or just want to chat, Iām all ears⦠unless Iām currently at sea on a cruise on the other side of the world. Either way, youāre in good hands. As I always say: āWe want you to look good!ā (And weāll make sure you do.)
Jenifer Farmer
Admin Director / HR
āThe Peopleās Peacekeeperā (Keeps us all in lineāwith grace, spreadsheets, a joke, and probably a snack.)
Hi, Iām Jenifer! Also known as the one running this place while Doug lives his best life traveling the world...
Iāve been with ATS Graphics for over 20 years, and even though I didnāt plan on joining the family business, the universe clearly had other ideas. Once I stepped in, there was no turning back. Turns out, I love this wild world of screen printing, embroidery, and garment decorationāand apparently, Iām pretty good at keeping everyone sane while we do it. Everyday, I handle a wide range of responsibilities. If thereās a fire to put out, Iāve probably already got the extinguisher. I make key decisions, calm the chaos, and still manage to crack one or 10 jokes. My leadership style is laid back; I approach challenges with humor, understanding, and patience, always striving to create a supportive and positive environment. I believe that clear communication, lots of compassion, positive reinforcement, and not taking yourself too seriously are essential (unless you mess with my printing scheduleāthen weāve got problems). Whether Iām guiding a customer through their first orderāmaking them feel welcome and confident, offering suggestions, following up, and ensuring everything runs smoothlyāor making sure the team feels seen and supported, Iām all about building trust and keeping things light around here. Working in a family business means a lot to me. I cherish the opportunity to work side-by-side with my dad, enjoy the flexibility of being a mom, and connect with team members whom Iāve known since I was too young to be in this role. Iām proud to be part of ATS Graphics, where we continually innovate with better technologies and refined procedures to exceed client expectations. At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to make every interaction positive and memorableāleaving a lasting impact on our clients and our team alike.
Ben Hextel
Art Director
āThe Pixel Whispererā (Turns chaos into clean, cool designsāpowered by energy drinks and killer playlists.)
Hello! Iām Ben, and Iāve been passionate about graphic design since middle school...
I grew up in Illinois, earned a degree in Graphic Design, and started my career in print media (think magazines and brochures). From there, I transitioned into the T-shirt world and eventually found my place here, where Iāve been bringing clientsā ideas to life ever since. As Art Director, I specialize in typography and compositionācreating layouts and letterforms that are clean, modern, and full of personality. Iām a natural problem solver, always aiming to turn ideas into smart, striking designs. What really drives me is connection. I genuinely enjoy talking with peopleāclients, coworkers, whoeverās in the room. Whether itās fonts, football, or favorite bands, I love finding common ground. To me, creativity should feel like a conversation, not just a transaction. Music is a big source of inspirationāit keeps the ideas flowing. I also find sparks in everyday life: nature, family, and the small moments that stick. I believe everyone has creativity in them, and I love helping clients tap into that. Thereās nothing better than seeing someoneās face light up when they see their final design. Iām proud to work in a collaborative, family-style environment where we bounce ideas off each other to create something better than expected. Whether itās sports graphics or kidsā tees, Iām all about making each project feel personal and adding that extra value. If youāve got an ideaābig or smallāIām here to help turn it into something amazing. Letās chat!
Dave Newton
Senior Designer / Illustration Specialist
āThe Sketch Sorcererā (Summoning magic from pencil to pixelāone jaw-dropping design at a time.)
Hey there! Iām Dave, and art has been in my blood since day one...
My very first T-shirt design dates back to 1977, and by 1980 I was airbrushing tees full-time. A friend landed me a gig at one of Atlantaās biggest screen-printing shops āback in the day,ā and in 2010 I brought all that experience to ATS, where Iāve been ever since. I specialize in cartooning and realistic illustration, and while I grew up doing things traditionally, these days I translate my hand-drawn visions into digital form. My process always starts in my sketchbookāI envision the look, play with shapes and colors, then bring it to life on screen. Iām a total visual sponge, constantly soaking up inspiration from online galleries, art books, and the work of other artists. I stay keenly aware of the latest styles so my work never feels stuck in the past. What I love most about ATS is our shared commitment to quality. Itās energizing to work alongside a production team that cares as much as I do about every detail and is always willing to go the extra mile. Iām a firm believer that keeping an open mind to new technologiesāand always looking for room to improveākeeps our work fresh and exciting. When Iām not at the office, youāll often find me illustrating different projects, painting, or playing guitar to clear my head. My biggest reward is seeing clients thrilled with the final pieceāand coming back for more. We genuinely love creating visuals here at ATS, and Iām here to make sure your next project looks better than you ever imagined.
Brannon Carver
Senior Designer / Screen Print Specialist
āThe Print Perfectionistā (Armed with a magnifying glass and an eye for detail sharper than a squeegeeās edge.)
Iām Brannon, and Iāve been in the screen-printing world for 30 years...
When the chance came to join the ATS family, I jumped at it, drawn by the great people and laid-back environment. Iām all about versatility, and obsessing over the details. My design process factors in everything from garment color and fabric to the decoration method itself. I know screen-printing ideas are limitless, so I work with those visions by applying my talents to give you my best work. Collaboration with our production crew is the heart of how I work. Iām always checking with our team to make sure my vision translates perfectly to the press. I keep a magnifying glass on hand (seriously!) so I can zero in on every fine line. I love it when clients give me room to apply my expertise. I stay inspired by industry trends (whatās new in prints and styles), and outside work youāll often find me painting, making music, or catching a movie. What really sets ATS apart? no suits, no long approval chains, just real people rolling up their sleeves together. When clients give me space to lean on our collective expertise, magic happens: you walk away with a shirt that looks even better in person than you imagined, and I get to share in your excitement. If youāre happy, Iām happyāand I canāt wait to collaborate on your next project.
Lyndsey Crowe
Shipping & Receiving Manager
āThe Label Ladyā (Keeps chaos in checkābecause everything runs smoother her way)
Iām Lyndsey and I joined the ATS family in 2019...
Iām all about keeping things organizedābecause honestly, chaos is my arch-nemesis. My role is to oversee every garment that comes through our doorsāmeticulously checking in incoming orders, confirming addresses, and organizing each piece so nothing gets lost in the shuffle. If youāre picking up an order, Iām the friendly face youāll meet at our loading dock. Renowned for my speed and precision, I donāt just toss everything into one pile; I label and separate every shipment from the moment it arrives. Everything gets sorted exactly the way I like it (and yes, I do complain if things arenāt up to my high standards!). Our production team depends on my organizational system to keep orders on track, and I constantly refer to our schedule to anticipate needs before they become bottlenecks. When issues arise, Iām quick to loop in the front office or collaborate with production to ensure a seamless workflow. I thrive on autonomyāI value being able to āgo at my own paceā while staying fully accountable for results. During busy seasons or last-minute rushes, I avoid overwhelm by breaking tasks into bite-sized priorities, tackling one thing at a time. My dedication to accuracy, clear communication, and hands-on approach make me an indispensable part of the ATS team. Bottom line: Iām here to make sure your shirts get to you exactly rightāand maybe a little my way too.
Ronnie Durden
Production Manager
āThe Production Captainā (Precision, passion, and a little bit of aloha in every print.)
Mahalo! Iām Ronnie, the Production Manager. Originally from Hawaii...
I joined the ATS family back in 1996, and today I orchestrate every step of our print process to meet exacting quality standards and tight deadlines. With a watchful eye on the entire workflow, I make sure each design looks flawless at every stageāfrom screen preparation to final cure. I thrive under pressure, believing that stress is just untapped energy waiting to be channeled into getting the job done. As I like to say, āWake up every dayāthatās a blessing in itself,ā and that mindset fuels my dedication to pushing projects over the finish line. I wear my heart on my sleeve and occasionally break into song in the warehouse, keeping morale high with a bit of laid-back humor and genuine care for the people around me. Outside of work, youāll often find me taking my motorcycle out for a spin or perfecting my playlistāmusic that not only keeps me motivated but sometimes even inspires a fresh approach to solving on-the-fly production challenges. Sure, I wish our customers could peek behind the curtain and see the craftsmanship behind each shirt. When clients understand the care, precision, and teamwork required, they gain a newfound respect for the art of screen printingāand for the people, like me, who bring their visions to life.
Cecilia Durden
Co-Production Manager
āThe Screen Specialistā (Burning, Washing & Banishing Misregistrationāone print at a time)
Iām Cece, Co-Production Manager. Originally from Mexico...
Today, I kick off each morning by burning screens and prepping jobs for our press operators. Once the screens have run their course, I reclaim and wash themākeeping a steady rhythm that keeps our production humming. My superpower? My sharp, objective eye: I can spot misregistration or uneven pressure in an instant and make the precise adjustments needed to keep every print perfectly aligned. But what I cherish most is the close relationship Iāve built with every member of our crew. Whether itās coaching a new hire or sharing a laugh over a tricky registration tweak, Iām the first to lend a handāand the last to leave until everyone has what they need. When deadlines loom, I donāt hesitate to roll up my sleeves and dive in alongside my teamāloading presses, mixing ink, or troubleshooting equipment. My hands-on approach not only speeds the process but also fosters a real sense of teamwork: they know Iām in their corner, celebrating wins and supporting them through challenges. I love what I do, thrive under pressure, and wouldnāt have it any other wayāthis job keeps me on my feet, engaged, and constantly learning.
