Meet Our Team

Doug Melton

Owner & Industry Veteran

“The Shirtfather”
(Almost 50 years in business and still setting the bar—because legends don’t retire.)

Welcome to the family! I’m Doug Melton, and I’ve been swinging for the fences in the screen printing, embroidery, and DTF game for 26 years

—though my entrepreneurial career goes back almost five decades. That’s right: I’ve been building businesses since disco was king and polyester was socially acceptable.

I started this company because I saw a serious gap—no one was putting real care into customer service or detail. So I rolled up my sleeves and made it my mission to change that. Today, we’re still growing strong because we stick to the basics: quality work, honest talk, and delivering what we promise (and then some).

I’m not here to sugarcoat things. I won’t sell you smoke and mirrors—but I will make sure your prints are top-tier and your deadlines are met. Staying current with the latest fabrics, styles, and techniques keeps things exciting and ensures we’re always hitting home runs for our clients.

Speaking of home runs… baseball is my other love. There’s just something about the game—timing, precision, teamwork—that reminds me of running a shop. So if you want to talk print placement and batting averages, I’m your guy.

Why do our customers stick with us? Simple: We deliver. We pride ourselves on our great service, fair prices, and a team that actually cares. Around here, we treat each other like family—sometimes loud, always loyal, and built to last.

If you’ve got feedback, ideas, or just want to chat, I’m all ears… unless I’m currently at sea on a cruise on the other side of the world. Either way, you’re in good hands.

As I always say: “We want you to look good!” (And we’ll make sure you do.)

Jenifer Farmer

Admin Director/HR

“The People’s Peacekeeper”
(Keeps us all in line—with grace, spreadsheets, a joke, and probably a snack.)

Hi, I’m Jenifer! Also known as the one running this place while Doug lives his best life traveling the world.

I’ve been with ATS Graphics for over 20 years, and even though I didn’t plan on joining the family business, the universe clearly had other ideas. Once I stepped in, there was no turning back. Turns out, I love this wild world of screen printing, embroidery, and garment decoration—and apparently, I’m pretty good at keeping everyone sane while we do it.

Everyday, I handle a wide range of responsibilities. If there’s a fire to put out, I’ve probably already got the extinguisher. I make key decisions, calm the chaos, and still manage to crack one or 10 jokes. My leadership style is laid back; I approach challenges with humor, understanding, and patience, always striving to create a supportive and positive environment.

I believe that clear communication, lots of compassion, positive reinforcement, and not taking yourself too seriously are essential (unless you mess with my printing schedule—then we’ve got problems). Whether I’m guiding a customer through their first order—making them feel welcome and confident, offering suggestions, following up, and ensuring everything runs smoothly—or making sure the team feels seen and supported, I’m all about building trust and keeping things light around here.

Working in a family business means a lot to me. I cherish the opportunity to work side-by-side with my dad, enjoy the flexibility of being a mom, and connect with team members whom I’ve known since I was too young to be in this role. I’m proud to be part of ATS Graphics, where we continually innovate with better technologies and refined procedures to exceed client expectations.

At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to make every interaction positive and memorable—leaving a lasting impact on our clients and our team alike.

Ben Hextel

Art Director

“The Pixel Whisperer”
(Turns chaos into clean, cool designs—powered by energy drinks and killer playlists.)

Hello! I’m Ben, and I’ve been passionate about graphic design since middle school—officially joining the ATS family in 2007.

I grew up in Illinois, earned a degree in Graphic Design, and started my career in print media (think magazines and brochures). From there, I transitioned into the T-shirt world and eventually found my place here, where I’ve been bringing clients’ ideas to life ever since.

As Art Director, I specialize in typography and composition—creating layouts and letterforms that are clean, modern, and full of personality. I’m a natural problem solver, always aiming to turn ideas into smart, striking designs.

What really drives me is connection. I genuinely enjoy talking with people—clients, coworkers, whoever’s in the room. Whether it’s fonts, football, or favorite bands, I love finding common ground. To me, creativity should feel like a conversation, not just a transaction.

Music is a big source of inspiration—it keeps the ideas flowing. I also find sparks in everyday life: nature, family, and the small moments that stick. I believe everyone has creativity in them, and I love helping clients tap into that.

There’s nothing better than seeing someone’s face light up when they see their final design. I’m proud to work in a collaborative, family-style environment where we bounce ideas off each other to create something better than expected. Whether it’s sports graphics or kids’ tees, I’m all about making each project feel personal and adding that extra value.

If you’ve got an idea—big or small—I’m here to help turn it into something amazing. Let’s chat!

Dave Newton

Senior Designer / Illustration Specialist

“The Sketch Sorcerer”
(Summoning magic from pencil to pixel—one jaw-dropping design at a time.)

Hey there! I’m Dave, and art has been in my blood since day one—my dad was a paint-and-ink artist, and I started painting alongside him as a kid.

My very first T-shirt design dates back to 1977, and by 1980 I was airbrushing tees full-time. A friend landed me a gig at one of Atlanta’s biggest screen-printing shops “back in the day,” and in 2010 I brought all that experience to ATS, where I’ve been ever since.

I specialize in cartooning and realistic illustration, and while I grew up doing things traditionally, these days I translate my hand-drawn visions into digital form. My process always starts in my sketchbook—I envision the look, play with shapes and colors, then bring it to life on screen. I’m a total visual sponge, constantly soaking up inspiration from online galleries, art books, and the work of other artists. I stay keenly aware of the latest styles so my work never feels stuck in the past.

What I love most about ATS is our shared commitment to quality. It’s energizing to work alongside a production team that cares as much as I do about every detail and is always willing to go the extra mile. I’m a firm believer that keeping an open mind to new technologies—and always looking for room to improve—keeps our work fresh and exciting.

When I’m not at the office, you’ll often find me illustrating different projects, painting, or playing guitar to clear my head. My biggest reward is seeing clients thrilled with the final piece—and coming back for more. We genuinely love creating visuals here at ATS, and I’m here to make sure your next project looks better than you ever imagined.

Brannon Carver

Senior Designer / Screen Print Specialist

“The Print Perfectionist”
(Armed with a magnifying glass and an eye for detail sharper than a squeegee’s edge.)

I’m Brannon, and I’ve been in the screen-printing world for 30 years—ever since just after college.

When the chance came to join the ATS family, I jumped at it, drawn by the great people and laid-back environment.

I’m all about versatility, and obsessing over the details. My design process factors in everything from garment color and fabric to the decoration method itself. I know screen-printing ideas are limitless, so I work with those visions by applying my talents to give you my best work. Collaboration with our production crew is the heart of how I work. I’m always checking with our team to make sure my vision translates perfectly to the press. I keep a magnifying glass on hand (seriously!) so I can zero in on every fine line.

I love it when clients give me room to apply my expertise. I stay inspired by industry trends (what’s new in prints and styles), and outside work you’ll often find me painting, making music, or catching a movie.

What really sets ATS apart? no suits, no long approval chains, just real people rolling up their sleeves together. When clients give me space to lean on our collective expertise, magic happens: you walk away with a shirt that looks even better in person than you imagined, and I get to share in your excitement. If you’re happy, I’m happy—and I can’t wait to collaborate on your next project.

Lyndsey Crowe

Shipping & Receiving Manager

“The Label Lady”
(Keeps chaos in check—because everything runs smoother her way)

I’m Lyndsey and I joined the ATS family in 2019 and have been the linchpin of our logistics ever since.

I’m all about keeping things organized—because honestly, chaos is my arch-nemesis. My role is to oversee every garment that comes through our doors—meticulously checking in incoming orders, confirming addresses, and organizing each piece so nothing gets lost in the shuffle. If you’re picking up an order, I’m the friendly face you’ll meet at our loading dock.

Renowned for my speed and precision, I don’t just toss everything into one pile; I label and separate every shipment from the moment it arrives. Everything gets sorted exactly the way I like it (and yes, I do complain if things aren’t up to my high standards!). Our production team depends on my organizational system to keep orders on track, and I constantly refer to our schedule to anticipate needs before they become bottlenecks. When issues arise, I’m quick to loop in the front office or collaborate with production to ensure a seamless workflow.

I thrive on autonomy—I value being able to “go at my own pace” while staying fully accountable for results. During busy seasons or last-minute rushes, I avoid overwhelm by breaking tasks into bite-sized priorities, tackling one thing at a time.

My dedication to accuracy, clear communication, and hands-on approach make me an indispensable part of the ATS team. Bottom line: I’m here to make sure your shirts get to you exactly right—and maybe a little my way too.

Ronnie Durden

Production Manager

The Production Captain
(Precision, passion, and a little bit of aloha in every print.)

Mahalo! I’m Ronnie, the Production Manager. Originally from Hawaii, I dove into the world of screen printing as a high-school freshman—and I’ve been hooked ever since.

I joined the ATS family back in 1996, and today I orchestrate every step of our print process to meet exacting quality standards and tight deadlines.

With a watchful eye on the entire workflow, I make sure each design looks flawless at every stage—from screen preparation to final cure. I thrive under pressure, believing that stress is just untapped energy waiting to be channeled into getting the job done. As I like to say, “Wake up every day—that’s a blessing in itself,” and that mindset fuels my dedication to pushing projects over the finish line.

I wear my heart on my sleeve and occasionally break into song in the warehouse, keeping morale high with a bit of laid-back humor and genuine care for the people around me.

Outside of work, you’ll often find me taking my motorcycle out for a spin or perfecting my playlist—music that not only keeps me motivated but sometimes even inspires a fresh approach to solving on-the-fly production challenges.

Sure, I wish our customers could peek behind the curtain and see the craftsmanship behind each shirt. When clients understand the care, precision, and teamwork required, they gain a newfound respect for the art of screen printing—and for the people, like me, who bring their visions to life.

Cecilia Durden

Co-Production Manager

“The Screen Specialist”
(Burning, Washing & Banishing Misregistration—one print at a time)

I’m Cece, Co-Production Manager. Originally from Mexico, I started at ATS in 1995, truly learning the ropes from the ground up with basic production tasks.

Today, I kick off each morning by burning screens and prepping jobs for our press operators. Once the screens have run their course, I reclaim and wash them—keeping a steady rhythm that keeps our production humming.

My superpower? My sharp, objective eye: I can spot misregistration or uneven pressure in an instant and make the precise adjustments needed to keep every print perfectly aligned. But what I cherish most is the close relationship I’ve built with every member of our crew. Whether it’s coaching a new hire or sharing a laugh over a tricky registration tweak, I’m the first to lend a hand—and the last to leave until everyone has what they need.

When deadlines loom, I don’t hesitate to roll up my sleeves and dive in alongside my team—loading presses, mixing ink, or troubleshooting equipment. My hands-on approach not only speeds the process but also fosters a real sense of teamwork: they know I’m in their corner, celebrating wins and supporting them through challenges.

I love what I do, thrive under pressure, and wouldn’t have it any other way—this job keeps me on my feet, engaged, and constantly learning.
